Last Thursday night we hosted an in-store event to celebrate Vogue’s Fashion Night Out and boy did we throw one seriously stylish party!
At 6pm sharp we opened our doors and the festivities began: before long a steady stream of super-glam shoppers had descended upon the store to celebrate an evening of fashion with a glass of champagne and a delicious bespoke cupcake in fuchsia and mustard – our signature colours -lovingly created by hip cupcake brand Crumbs and Doilies.
As it was our first Fashion’s Night Out we decided to celebrate in style, and what better way than by collaborating with fashion brand ‘THE FOLD’ who we invited to host their own pop-up shop on the first floor of the store. Shoppers were able to try on items from THE FOLD’s very covetous collection which is aimed at the stylish corporate woman. Not only were THE FOLD’s style advisers on hand to share their sartorial pearls of wisdom but they were also available to style shoppers with Thomas Lyte’s own accessories.
And the fun didn’t stop there: we asked two incredibly talented fashion illustrators from the London College of Fashion, Sasha Helim and Jio Fish, to sketch our guests sporting Thomas Lyte accessories. The event was all about the Eliza collection – as highlighted by our beautiful ‘Introducing Eliza’ window display which we created exclusively for the event – so guests were able to pose with the Eliza accessory of their choice.
The finished illustrations were so beautiful that word quickly spread and soon guests were practically queuing around the block to be immortalised with one of our gorgeous bags!
Finally, in keeping with the Eliza theme we had organised a series of special prize draws throughout the evening, allowing guests to win small leather pieces from our Eliza collection.
We had such a fantastic evening but it wouldn’t have been such a success without everyone who helped out on the night. Huge thanks go to our talented photographer Kit who took some really lovely photos of the event; our wonderful fashion illustrators Jio and Sasha who proved, unsurprisingly, a huge hit and, of course, the lovely ladies from The Fold who injected the Thomas Lyte store with an enormous amount of sophistication and glamour and had guests clamouring to try on their stunning creations. Finally an enormous thankyou to all of you who came down to the store to show your support- it was lovely to see some familiar faces and to introduce some new friends to the brand.
