In addition to creating new bespoke silverware, the team of experts at Thomas Lyte Silver also carries out repairs and restoration work on all types of precious metals, including silver trophy restoration, Silver Cutlery, Silver Teapots, Silver Candlesticks, Silver Coffee Pots and various other Silver Objet.

Famous trophies like the FA Cup regularly come to the workshop to have repair work completed before the final is played and other major trophies like the Heineken European Cup visit the workshop at least once per year for repair, cleaning, and polishing.

The workshop also carries out repair and restoration work on some of the finest antique silver in the country. This is extremely skilled work that can only be undertaken by very experienced Silversmiths and Polishers who are also experts in Silver Plating, Gold Plating, Replating and Gilding. 

If you have an item that needs repairing, please email Thomas Lyte Silver enquiries@thomaslyte.com for an initial quote. Please supply at least 2 photos of the broken or damaged area and a brief description of the item. We will provide an estimate within 3 working days. 

Once we have assessed the damage we will reply to you with our suggested solution. In the case that we repair the item we will suggest the best form of transport for your item to us given the item's value and history.
