The European Open golf tournament was resurrected in 2008, and took place at The London Club in Kent. To mark the re-staging of the tournament, Thomas Lyte were asked to restore and enlarge the existing trophy that was made in the 1970s. we carefully replaced missing enamel flags, and added a new bespoke plinth to give the trophy whole new look. Thomas Lyte subsequently made a half-size replica of the trophy for the winner, Frenchman Christian Cevaer.
