JP Morgan Premiership Rugby 7s Trophy

2010 was the first year of the tournament and the trophy was commissioned by JP Morgan. The players were sculptured by hand by the famous Russian sculptor, Peter Zaltsman, and were first carved in wax before being cast in metal and plated in silver. The players were then mounted on a plinth with the tournament logo engraved on the plinth band. The trophy is 46cms high and weighs over 6kg. Thomas Lyte also created the medals, which are gold plated and feature the original design of the trophy on the front, with the tournament logo on the reverse.
