Thomas Lyte are delighted to continue their association with elite Horse racing in the Middle East as the Designers and Makers of The Dubai World Cup Leading Owner, Jockey and Trainer Trophies. The Dubai World Cup is a Thoroughbred horse race held annually. Contested at the world renowned Meydan Racecourse, this event offers nine races, consisting of eight Thoroughbred contests and one Purebred Arabian contest.
One of the world's richest horse race, it holds a 10 million prize money for the winning horse. Designing three trophies for the winning jockey, owner and trainer, Thomas Lyte incorporated the true reflection of this elite sport into them.
Standing at 45cm in height, these trophies are gold plated with a twisted Arabic design. Through keeping the sincerity level of a regional design influence, we have channeled the Arabic design through the interlaced circles. The trophies reflect the modern futuristic city of Dubai but also, establish the historic, traditional roots of the city and of horse racing.
